Layla Mattress Review 2020

What's up guys I'm Jeff for the jet today we're doing a review of the 2019 brand-new Layla's mattress 

so what we're gonna do is cover what we like what we don't like about it and who we think it is best for by the way there are a lot more details that you want to check out about this mattress in the description so make sure to look at everything in the text below the video screen

okay let's cover what's so special about this flippable lid alright so we're gonna start off with the company policy stuff we're gonna breeze right through this like I said before we did a full review on our website the link is in the description so this bed ships for free just like pretty much any other bed and a box mattress out there and it comes in like

I don't know a four foot tall box it kind of looks like it should fit like a small dresser or like a like a mini fridge like a call as a refrigerator it looks like it should fit that but it's an entire mattress which is pretty amazing and they can fit all the way up to a king cal king bed inside that box you rip off all the packaging like the savage that you are and then you should let it inflate so it's basically what it's going to do is the plastic wrappings gonna come off and it's gonna start to expand but because the bed has memory foam you want to let it sit there for like 48 hours solid on the flat ground not like propped up against awall that way you can expand and take its intended form so if you lay on it right then it's gonna be a lot softer than it will feel in like a day in half so let it sit out now from that point

you have a one hundred and twenty night trial period with Leila which about twenty days longer than the average benda box mattress brand offers so you have at least three months to try it out to see whether or not you like it not if I like it or Johnny G behind the camera say what's up both his saints one so he's a happy guy but so you have plenty of time to tell whether or not you want it and if you decide in that trial period after like I don't know forty five days you know maybe you don't want it

then you can get all of your money back that's how most of these been de Box brands operate but you know the fact the matter is is that that's why they're so popular is that you can try it to see if you like it you probably will but if you don't you can get your money back and then it comes with a lifetime warranty which is pretty rare to see so that's the policy stuff let's get into the construction because that's really important we try to always cover that so this bed is interesting because it's flippable and it's double sided so meaning it has a soft and it has a firm side top and bottom but let's go from the

firm side up so the bottom is basically a thin strip like a one inch strip of copper infused memory foam then you have their support which is made up of a denser slab of polyurethane foam and then a little bit of a softer polyurethane foam on top of that and then the very top the soft side would be a thicker slab of memory foam so basically what they did is they kind of transitioned up to be soft but if you flip it you'll feel more of that support core because you have less of that memory foam in between you in that support core so that's the construction of the bed it is made in the United States and all of its films meet like all these crazy standards in order to be

sold in the United States now as far as the flippable element you can see that now I don't know if you can see us on camera now but they've actually made it really clear that there is a soft and a firm side so they have a light gray that distinguishes the soft side and then adark grey that shows you that that is the firm side and I really like this because you know in the past like a couple of months ago even they had a bed that was still flippable but you had to remove the entire cover flip the bed and put the cover back on which was you know if you had two people that was probably a 25 minute endeavor

and so it was fine because you did get two options with bed you have the soft and firm side but it's
just not something you would want to do regularly with the new bed hey if you don't like the saw side flip it right away a try out the firm side and then if you don't like the firm side flip it back to the soft side so I like how easy it is it still has the removable cover it's not technically washable in your washing machine though I believe it is fine if you take it to the dry cleaners but still I love the new

 cover they actually have this new like softening process as well apparently so if you feel the cover on this bed like it is really soft and really really nice I got very much like the cover has these hexagonal shapes on it and I love the fact that they've been able to you know kind of split the bed soft firm and you can clearly tell which side is which now speaking of those firmness levels I want to talk about what those actually feel like because that's important right this

probably the most important thing so the soft side as it is out of the box it's gonna be about a medium soft so we'll have that memory foam feel a little bit more of a fluffy you know we could Park it some shots of this too but as more of a like fluffy Airy memory foam field none of that deep viscous like you know quicksand type memory foam it's actually a pretty pleasant like comfortable airier memory foam but it's softer side so it's medium soft best for side sleepers and combination sleepers like if you need deep pressure  relief on your shoulders and your hips you're probably gonna like the Layla's
mattress and I'll be honest with you it seems like this could be just the naming of it or maybe the

branding of it seems like a lot of like young ladies and women prefer the lay of the mattress
maybe because softer maybe because of the name or whatever but it seems like a lot of people really like I know that about that Layla's mattress now if you flip it you're still gonna get a little bit of that memory foam feel not as much but you will get some of it and it will feel obviously firmer so it's gonna be right in between like a medium and a medium firm right in that range and we
think it'll be good for back sleepers for stomach sleepers side sleepers and combination so everybody so I think it's gonna be universally accommodating and most people will find it comfortable it

has still a memory foam feel but maybe more of a neutral kind of responsive type feel because of the fact that there's less memory foam on that firm side now if I was to sleep on this bed I would sleep on the firm side only cuz soft sides maybe a little too soft for me and it has just a little bit too much of that memory foam feel for me now keep in mind that softness and firmness it's relative like

Johnny little scrawny arms little guy you know he's gonna think the beds are always firmer than just a big ox like myself so I would think all the beds are softer so just kind of bear in mind as we go through the rest of this review like the young ladies on our team they almost always say the bed is firmer Jeff and then I say the bed is not that firm it's a lot softer than you think so the heavier you are the softer

it is the lighter you are the firmer it is keep that in mind as for temperature
regulation because as memory foam you would think ah this thing's gonna heat up but really because of the fact that they use that copper infused memory foam which helps to like draw heat away it's gonna be more neutral and it'll be probably even a little bit cooler on the firm side because you're gonna sleep more on top of the bed as opposed to sinking in the bed so if you want a cooling bed one that's made for extra extra hot sleepers it's probably not Layla I'll link some other ones in the description but this one's gonna be good for most people I would say and last two things I want to talk about really are mostly important to couples so the first thing is edge support

that's how strong the edge of the beds are like if you're you know life girlfriend boyfriend whatever fiance they spread out and sprawl out on the bed and you are you like cast away to the side of the bed you want it to hold its shape and Layla does a pretty good job the softer sides not as good as the
firm side and we see that with a lot of soft foam beds so the software it is you know it obviously compresses more so it's harder to get back into the center of the bed the firm side is actually

pretty good so I think couples will be fine on this bed plus you get the two options to get it right soft and firm and then motion isolation it's really good like lights out good because it has that memory if it was great on both sides if you have somebody that kicks like a deer in their sleep and they're just all over the place you'll want to bed this good at motion isolation in Layla and deed is good at in motion
isolation last thing I want to cover even though I said that was last two things but its price so the MSRP for this bed is about $1,000 for a queen-size mattress they almost always offer discounts though so if you check down below in the description there should be a discount so you can

save like a hundred bucks on this bed sometimes they throw in extra pillows or run other promotions so if you check in the description that'll be the most up to date discount that's it Layla's mattress who do I think it is best for I think it's good for all types of sleepers and people that like memory foam somebody that's on a little bit more of a strict budget that wants to pay under $1,000 for a queen-size bed and if you just kind of want like a generally comfortable accommodating bed if again if you're opening memory foam I don't think it's so much memory foam that it'll turn off a lot of people you

just have to have kind of know what it feels like and then you'll probably find it really really comfortable so I'm glad that they updated it though because the old one was sort of annoying to take off the cover and put it back on I really real I think this one's gonna like boom boom boom boom boom move up our ranks because of the new cover and how soft the cover is and Yatta Yatta I think
